The stakes are never high enough

Well, I wrote the following piece a while back as a part of a story and then sometime later sent it to a friend who was unsure about expressing his/her feelings for someone. And since, have sent it to other friends as well. Whether it has helped them or not, it is to drive home the point that the stakes, no matter what we tell ourselves, can never be higher than what we could loose in a sea of regrets. Read on….

And what do you stand to loose really? And I mean it. Of course its always easier said than done but think about it, if you have already lost your heart what more can you loose.
So stop waiting for the *right* moment or the *perfect* way, time will keep flying away.
Don’t hide your feelings. Leave no room for regrets. It’s better to look back and think something [or someone] somewhere broke your heart than to retrospect and contemplate “what if”. Regrets are the worst possible emotions. No matter if things don’t go the way you wish and it hurts, regrets will still hurt more. So go ahead and speak your heart out. The stakes are never high enough! Right now is the Right time! *
