SATISFACTION : Excerpts from a speech

[Excerpt from an audience open session ,post a speech I made recently ]

But what is satisfaction? Is lack of satisfaction one of our greatest sufferings? Most probably.
For most people, satisfaction implies the material, tangible things. But is it really the path to satisfaction? We can
enjoy a certain level of wealth, hoping it gives us some satisfaction. But complete satisfaction still eludes. The
human mind if untrained can be capricious. The more we enjoy something, the more we desire something else. One sees
many people surrounded by wealth, fame ,attention, however, they have no peace, no contentment. And this deprivation
makes them feel like the most miserable beings in the world.
What then , can make one satisfied? Good Karma?
What is Karma?
Is it any different then oneself?
How do I define it?I feel we ourselves are the energy , the eternal energy that is the universe. One doesn’t come
into the world, one comes out of it, like a wave from the ocean. We are not strangers here. Instead everything that happens to us, is our own doing, everything we experience, is by us, our karma. We are the orifice through which the whole energy of the universe is aware of itself. Most of us are only unaware of this as most of the time our consciousness is distracted by more material and unrealistic expectations.

To be satisfied then, is to realize the circle of life. You can accumulate all the wealth in the world but one day you must depart. You can love a lot of tangible things , people and so on, but one day they all shall part.When we die, we leave alone, isn’t it? What we leave behind is the positivity that we created. No one can escape the circle , but you can create a positive karma.
How can you be satisfied?
Is there a universal answer? I don’t know. I only know what I practice. I can share that.
